Interactive Demo Tools for Small Teams

August 28, 2026

Small teams get the worst of this market. Entry tiers assume one person; the next tier assumes a sales department; and there is often nothing sensible in between.

Prices checked on each vendor's own pricing page on 27 August 2026. They move often -- confirm before you buy, ours included.

Where the cliff is

  • Storylane -- $50/mo for 1 seat, then $625/mo for the 5-seat Growth tier. Additional Starter seats are +$50.
  • Supademo -- $38/mo per creator, then $350/mo for the 5-creator Growth tier.
  • Arcade -- $42.50/mo per seat with no cliff, which is the flattest curve of the three.
  • Demorta -- $39.99/mo Growth includes 2 seats. Ours, disclosed.

Count editors, not people

The number that matters is how many people need to change a demo, not how many will look at one. In most small teams that is one or two, with everyone else needing to watch and comment.

Vendors that include view-only collaborators let a team of eight run on two seats. Vendors that do not are quietly charging you for spectators.

Staying below the cliff on purpose

Two seats plus a shared login is a common and slightly grubby workaround, and it breaks the moment two people edit at once. It also usually violates the terms you agreed to.

The better version is deciding who owns demos. One owner, one backup, and a review process for everyone else keeps you legitimately on a small tier and produces more consistent demos than five people editing freely.

What to check before you commit a team

  • Per-seat price at the tier above the one you are joining, so the cliff is not a surprise.
  • Whether view-only access is free, and what it actually allows.
  • Whether demos survive a downgrade, since a team is more likely to change plans than an individual.
  • Whether one person can be removed without their demos going with them.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best demo tool for a team of five?
It depends where each vendor's tier cliff sits. As of 27 August 2026 Storylane jumps from $50/mo for one seat to $625/mo for five, Supademo from $38 per creator to $350 for five, while Arcade stays linear at $42.50 per seat. Count editors rather than people first.
Do all team members need a paid seat?
Usually not. Most people only need to watch and comment, and several vendors include view-only collaborators at no cost -- which can let a team of eight run legitimately on two paid seats.
Should everyone on the team be able to edit demos?
Rarely. One owner, one backup and a review process keeps you on a smaller tier honestly and produces more consistent demos than five people editing freely -- which also avoids the shared-login workaround that breaks when two people edit at once.
