How it works

  1. A browser opens your site at desktop size and waits for it to finish drawing — fonts, images, the scripts that lay out the page.
  2. Each page is captured as real HTML, not a screenshot: styles inlined, scripts removed, videos and embeds frozen into stills. The viewer can scroll and read it; nothing in it can run.
  3. The main navigation is followed — up to six pages — and the link that led to each page is recorded as the click, so the demo plays like someone clicking through the site.
  4. Captions are written for the demo and every page, and the result opens in the editor.

What it cannot do

It cannot see behind a login, so it captures a website, not the application behind it — that is what the recorder extension is for. A few sites block automated browsers, and a page that renders only after heavy scripting sometimes captures thin. When a page comes out wrong, delete it in the editor and the rest of the demo stands.

What is an instant website demo?
An interactive demo made automatically from a public website: a headless browser opens the site, captures its main pages as real HTML, records which navigation link leads to which page, and publishes the result as a scrollable click-through demo with captions. It takes about a minute and needs no extension.
Does it work on any website?
Any public website. Pages behind a login cannot be reached, and a few sites block automated browsers or render only after heavy scripting; those capture thin or not at all. Marketing sites, documentation and landing pages capture well.
How is this different from recording with the extension?
The extension records what you click, inside your own product, logged in. The instant demo captures a public site on its own, following its navigation. Use the instant demo for a website; use the extension for the product behind the login.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. It opens in the editor like any demo: reorder or delete pages, change captions, add guide points to lead the viewer through a page, blur, zoom, brand it, and publish to a link or an embed.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, and no account is needed to make one: the demo is published at a share link as soon as it is captured and stays up for seven days. Adding it to a free account (five demos, no card) keeps it and lets you edit it.
