A freelancer shows work through screenshots constantly: the progress update, the "which version do you prefer", the final handover. Every one of them is read by someone deciding whether to keep paying. A watermark from a free tool, another client’s name in a tab, or a blurry crop all say something you did not intend.
Capture the finished part, cropped, with one box on what is new since last time and a short label. Send it in the update rather than a link that needs a login. Demorta’s screenshot tool captures the area, adds the mark, and downloads a PNG with nothing added -- no badge, no branding but yours. Try the free screenshot tool.
When asking the client to choose, capture each option identically -- same crop, same width, same state -- and label them A and B on the image. Different crops make the options look like different amounts of work.
The handover document is where screenshots multiply: how to log in, how to edit, how to publish. That is a walkthrough, and a recorded interactive demo of it is both easier for the client to follow and cheaper for you to update when they ask for changes. Record it once; screenshots for the single screens, the demo for the procedure.
