Screen Studio produces screen recordings that look better than almost anything else, mostly through automatic zoom and smooth cursor motion. For social clips and launch posts it is excellent.
The limits people run into are the limits of the format rather than the tool: it is a video, it is Mac-first, and it cannot tell you anything about who watched.
Automatic zoom that follows the cursor, motion that looks deliberate, and output that needs no editing to be presentable. A recording that would look amateur elsewhere looks considered here.
For a product launch clip, a changelog entry or a social post, that polish is the whole point and it is hard to beat.
Announcements, social, anything where the viewer is scrolling and you have three seconds to look good: Screen Studio, and a demo would be worse.
Anything a prospect is meant to explore, or that lives on a page for months and has to stay accurate: an interactive demo.
Recording in the browser, on any OS, producing something clickable with per-step analytics. Five free, paid from $15.99/month, and it exports MP4 or GIF when a video is what the channel needs.
The exported video will not match Screen Studio for polish. If the artefact you want is a beautiful clip, that is the tool for it.
Click through it — the same kind of demo you can record of your own product.
