Practice management software is bought by people with almost no uninterrupted time and an unusually low tolerance for risk.
A self-serve demo suits them far better than a scheduled call — but only if it respects both constraints, and the data one is not optional.
This is the first rule and it has no exceptions. A published demo link can be forwarded anywhere, and a single real name, date of birth or record number in a screenshot is a reportable problem rather than an embarrassment.
Build a demo account with invented patients. Blurring afterwards is a safety net, not a plan — a blur applied to the wrong step is discovered by the wrong person.
The day's schedule is the screen a practice lives on. Show it full, realistic and slightly messy — gaps, a cancellation, a double booking.
A pristine empty calendar looks like software nobody uses.
Assume the viewer is stopping halfway through. Short steps, obvious progress, and a demo that makes sense if resumed twenty minutes later.
That is also an argument for several small demos rather than one long one: scheduling, claims and charting are different questions asked by different people in the practice.
