Demo Call-to-Action Examples That Get Clicked

August 22, 2026

Someone who finished your demo is the most informed and most interested visitor you have. The end screen is where most demos waste that.

The pattern that works is the same throughout: name the next step and remove the unknown from it.

Free signup

  • Weak: "Get started" → **Better:** "Start free — no card, three vehicles, set up in five minutes"
  • Weak: "Sign up now" → **Better:** "Create your first project free"
  • Weak: "Try it" → **Better:** "Try it on your own data — free, no card"
  • Every clause after the verb removes a reason not to click.

Booking a call

  • Weak: "Contact us" → **Better:** "Book 15 minutes with the founder"
  • Weak: "Request a demo" → **Better:** "See it on your own numbers — 20 minutes"
  • Weak: "Talk to sales" → **Better:** "Ask us the awkward questions — 15 minutes, no deck"
  • "Contact us" asks the viewer to compose an email, which is far more work than it sounds and almost nobody does.

Pricing and next demo

  • Weak: "Learn more" → **Better:** "See what it costs — plans from $15.99"
  • Weak: "More features" → **Better:** "Next: how the approval flow works — 40 seconds"
  • Weak: "Explore" → **Better:** "See it working with Xero"
  • A second demo is an underused CTA. Someone who finished one often has exactly one more question.

What not to do

Four buttons of equal weight. A choice is friction, so pick the one you actually want and make the rest secondary or absent.

And do not put a form here that asks for something they already saw. Gating after the value has been delivered is the wrong end of the demo to gate.

Frequently asked questions

What should a demo call to action say?
Name the next step and remove the unknown from it -- "Start free, no card, set up in five minutes" rather than "Get started". Every clause after the verb removes a reason not to click.
Why is "Contact us" a weak CTA?
Because it asks the viewer to compose a message, which is far more work than it appears and almost nobody does. "Book 15 minutes" says what it costs them and is a smaller decision.
How many CTAs should a demo end with?
One, with anything else clearly secondary. Four options of equal weight turn the warmest moment you get into a decision, and some share of viewers will decide to leave instead.
