How to Remove Tool Branding From Your Interactive Demos

August 19, 2026

Nearly every free demo plan carries a small badge naming the tool that made it. It is how free tiers pay for themselves and it is a fair trade.

Whether it costs you anything depends entirely on where the demo sits.

When the badge does not matter

  • Internal demos for onboarding or support. Nobody is being sold to.
  • Help centre articles, where the reader is already a customer.
  • Early experiments, where you are finding out whether demos work at all before spending anything.

When it does

On a homepage or pricing page, a badge is a clickable link out of your funnel at the moment a prospect is closest to converting. It is small, and it is pointing away.

It also affects perception in enterprise and public sector evaluations, where a demo carrying a third-party badge reads as less established than one that does not. That judgement is not always fair, and it is real.

What removal usually costs

It is close to universally a paid feature, and typically on the first paid tier rather than an expensive one. Where it lands is worth checking, because some tools reserve it for a much higher plan than you would expect.

On Demorta, branding removal is on Starter at $15.99 a month, which also lifts the free plan's 5-demo cap to unlimited.

What a white-label demo is not

Removing a badge is not the same as serving demos from your own domain. Those are different features, and the second is much less common than the first.

Demorta does not currently offer custom domains for demos, and says so rather than implying otherwise -- if serving from your own domain is a hard requirement for you, check that specifically with any tool you are evaluating rather than assuming "white label" covers it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove the tool branding from an interactive demo?
It is a paid feature on essentially every tool, usually on the first paid tier. On Demorta it is included from Starter at $15.99 a month, which also lifts the free plan's 5-demo limit.
Does a "powered by" badge on a demo actually matter?
On internal, support or experimental demos, no. On a homepage or pricing page it is a link out of your funnel at the moment a prospect is closest to converting, and in enterprise or public sector evaluations it can affect how established you appear.
Is removing branding the same as white labelling?
No. Removing the badge is common and inexpensive; serving demos from your own domain is a separate and much rarer feature. Demorta does not currently offer custom domains, so check that specifically if it is a hard requirement.
